My name is William Chad Newsom, and I serve as the Earl of Audio here at Based Audio Books. I have narrated and produced audiobooks and podcasts for some of the best known leaders and publishers of the New Christian Right, including C. Jay Engel, Stephen Wolfe, Andrew Isker, and New Christendom Press, among others.
In 2025, I narrated the audiobook version of the legendary novel, The Camp of the Saints.
I have done podcast production work for such shows as Contra Mundum and Canterbury Trails, also creating the theme music and intro/outro for the latter.
As a voice actor, I have been heard on over a thousand radio stations around the world. I have voiced a variety of projects including podcast intros and outros, promos and ads, narrations, audiobooks, e-learning, and more, as announcers, audio drama and dramatized audiobook characters, and an independent animated Lego film for YouTube, among others. As of now, I am doing some voice work for an independent video game.

My wife and I have been married for 32 years and have seven children and one grandchild. Besides my voice and production work, I'm a writer and musician, and I've published a dozen books, including two novels and a book on JRR Tolkien and CS Lewis. One novel was translated into Turkish, and I contributed to a French language book on Tolkien. I once created a Christian Nationalist homeschool curriculum. I've also directed and acted in local theater. For 13 years, I worked for a Fortune 500 company, where I taught new hires, created training materials, and wrote, directed, and performed comedy sketches for company events. I've provided production and voiceover services for various podcasts over the years. And I've created original podcast theme music. I live on a cabin on a hill in the woods deep in the Southern countryside.
